Want to head along to the inaugural Fashion & Farming Festival this weekend?
The festival unites what seems like two unlikely worlds and explores what we farm, wear and the earth we share, and is taking place on 10-11 May in Kinsale.
Mother and daughter duo Mareta Doyle and Ciara Hunt teamed up to create this brand new event that aims to examine sustainability in two major areas of industry and to kickstart a farm-to-fashion movement.
The pair have pulled together an impressive array of speakers and innovators from the fashion, farming, philanthropic, creative, scientific and political worlds who will share their experiences and ideas in Kinsale this weekend. Speakers include Eden Project founder Sir Tim Smit, sustainable fashion advocate Bay Garnett, chef and organic farmer Darina Allen and U2’s Adam Clayton is a very keen gardener.
Across the two days this weekend there will be many conversation from these experts, environmentalists, innovators, dreamers, fabricators, planners and inventors who come together to help to 'sew' seeds for fresh ideas with intention to help mend the farm-to-fabric cycles, which have been damaged in recent decades
