The government approved €8 million for the project which is being developed along the old railway track.
The Greenway will have stop off points at Killeagh and Mogeely.
In a tweet this evening, Local Councillor James O'Connor said it will be a fantastic ammenity for the local community.

Speaking around the time that the project got the green light, Cllr Mary Linehan Foley said it’s a welcome development for the area
