Traders in Cork City are waiting to hear if and when the Christmas lights will be switched on.
City Council is being called on to clarify the situation over fears that the energy crisis will affect this year's festivities on Leeside.
President of the Cork Business Association Kevin Herlihy says that traders are still hopeful the Christmas lights will go ahead.
