Units of Cork City Fire attend multiple call outs as bonfire night gets underway.

Bonna Night is a long held tradition in Cork but in the past has been marred by illegal bonfires and anti-social behaviour

Crews from Anglesea Street fire have dealt with a container on fire near Vernon Mount in Douglas followed by bonfiree on Forge Hill. 

Meanwhile Ballyvolane have dealt with a bonfire in Farranree and in Mayfield.

Crews are preparing for Bonfire Night 2023 🔥

We are asking the public to:
• Keep fires small and under control
• Consider that some neighbors may have medical issues compounded by smoke
• Use non toxic items
