The alleged incident occurred yesterday on the Cobh to Cork train.
Gardai confirmed that two teenagers were arrested near the Lower Glanmire Road.
Both were taken to Gurranbraher Garda Station for questioning.
The two were subsequently released pending a referral to the Youth Diversion Programme.
