The alarm was raised at Ashgrove , Ballyvolane at 9:10am.
Two people have been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in Cork city this morning.
It’s understood the fire broke out in a room and was quickly brought under control.
Units of the fire service from Ballyvolane and Anglesea Street responded.
Fire fighters are still at the scene.
