The seven meter boat was towed back to Ballycotton pier.
The crew called for help and Ballycotton RNLI were asked to launch by Valentia Coast Guard just after 5pm yesterday evening.
The power boat was travelling from Waterford to Monkstown when it suffered engine failure just south of Ballycotton Island.
