The other concerns Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford and that expires early Saturday morning.
This is in addition to a previously issued rain warning for Kerry and Cork from 11pm tonight.
The wet weather follows a long unseasonable dry spell and will be welcomed by some farmers and horticulturalists.
Met Eireann are warning that some areas can expect localised flooding as a result of the expected rainfall.
The exceptionally dry ground increases the chances of flooding.
Meanwhile, there is good news for hayfever sufferers with news that the pollen count will be moderate today and low tomorrow.
