The Irish Farmers Association has welcomed confirmation that a retailer will attend the next Beef Task Force meeting.
It first met earlier this month in a bid to resolve the ongoing row between farmers and meat processors over beef prices.
Tesco has accepted an invitation to talks and will attend the meeting on January 9th.
The IFA's now calling on other retailers to join them.
