Gardai carried out a search at a house in the Clancy Street area at around 3-30pm.
An undisclosed amount of cannabis herb and cocaine were discovered.
A suspect was questioned and released pending the results of the forensic tests on the substances which were uncovered.
Gardai say their investigations are ongoing.
