Demand for support services are growing.
Up to 300 volunteers are urgently required by St Vincent De Paul in Cork.
SVP Cork says volunteer numbers in the city need to double for home visits.
2 or 3 hours a week are required to provide crucial support in the local community.
The charity has about 272 members in the city but demands on support services mean they need to double the figure to continue helping as many people as possible.
Covid decimated the volunteer numbers and it has been a struggle to return to pre-pandemic levels.
