Stryker is partnering with Cork County Council in delivering life saving defibrillators to the local community in Carrigtwohill and Glounthane.
The newly opened section of the County Cork cycleway was constructed with support from Stryker and provides an ideal location for defibrillators.
Numbers using the cycle facility are expected to increase in the coming months as the cyclelink expands and three defibrillators are being installed in the initial stages.
The life saving devices will be housed in vintage phone boxes along the cycleway and pays homage to an important piece of Irish culture and a long standing feature of towns and villages.
