Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rain warning for this evening \ night.
The warning is in place for counties Cork and Kerry from 8pm until 3am on Wednesday morning.
The forecaster says there will be heavy spells of blustery rain in the mid-west and south-west, which will bring the risk of difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility and localised flooding.
