Spike in number of cases of mumps in Cork

Cork Education and Training Board has confirmed two cases in Davis College, Mallow.

A text has been sent advising parents that if students are displaying symptoms they must remain out of school for five days.

CIT and UCC both had confirmed cases in recent weeks.

Symptoms of mumps include high fever, cough, headache and swelling of the salivary glands around the face.
