A Cork City Councillor who witnessed open drug use on Patrick’s Street over the holiday weekend,has renewed a call for a supervised injection facility.
Former Lord Mayor of Cork, Colm Kelleher also says more Gardai are needed on the streets of Cork city.
At yesterday’s JPC, it was confirmed that the Garda Commissioner is due to attend the next meeting in June.
Chief Superintendent Thomas Myers said it will be an opportunity to collectively put as much pressure as they can to secure extra resources for Cork.
