With just over a week to go, we know who will be the person in the middle of both games

The upcoming intermediate and senior games, pitting Cork against Kilkenny and Galway respectively, have Kildare's Brian Kearney and experienced Kilkenny official Liz Dempsey at the helm.

Cork's upcoming hurling showdowns have just become more intriguing. The intermediate face-off against Kilkenny and the senior match against Galway are all set to be overseen by two of the sport's most respected officials, Brian Kearney and Liz Dempsey. The stakes are high and the whistles are ready!

Brian Kearney of Kildare is set to referee the intermediate clash between Cork and Kilkenny at 3 o'clock. Kearney, known for his keen eye and fair play, is sure to keep both teams in check as they vie for the championship.

Meanwhile, the 5.15 senior game between Cork and Galway will see Liz Dempsey in charge. This isn't Dempsey's first rodeo, having officiated the 2021 decider - a game that saw Galway triumph over Cork. Will history repeat itself or will Cork turn the tables? Only the final whistle will tell.

As for the players, the injury front offers some positive news for Cork. Niamh O'Leary, who had been sidelined for the intermediate semi-final against Offaly, is expected to be back in action. Her return is sure to inject some fresh energy into the Cork line-up.

But that's not all. Maeve Cahalan, who has missed a couple of games for the seniors, is also on her way back. Despite her absence, team manager Germain remains optimistic about her availability for the final. Cahalan's potential comeback could be the game-changer Cork needs to clinch the title.

So, it's all systems go for a thrilling weekend of hurling action. With both games broadcast live on C103, fans won't miss a minute of the drama
