Irish Rail is set to move the rail depot.
It can only hold 8 trains in storage overnight but as the demand rises Irish Rail needs to increase capacity.
Cork County Councillor James O'Connor feels Mallow or Buttevant would be an ideal location for this as its on the railway line and he says it would be a welcome boost for local jobs
