
It was revealed early last week that the facility was due to reopen today.
However, in a statement Cork Kerry Community Healthcare said that they were told on Friday that that SouthDoc had changed its position due to the sharp increase in Covid-19 numbers.
They added that they are concerned at SouthDoc’s lack of consultation with the HSE on this decision and reassured medical card holders in the area that they are committed to ensuring that appropriate out-of-hours GP services are available.
