Pubs await support package

Publicans who have not reopened may have to wait more than two months before a financial support package is announced.

It is reported that Ministers may wait until the Budget on October 13th before deciding on bailouts for particular sectors.

Tanaiste Leo Varadar has said pubs could still re-open in September.

His comments follow those of Taoiseach Michael Martin, who said there is no guarantee that they will open at all this year.
