The proposed project on a site near the ESB Networks office on Sarsfield Road includes 348 homes.
It's made up of 296 cost rental apartments, 16 affordable-for-sale townhouses, and 36 social housing apartments.
A 156-square-metre childcare facility is also planned.
The homes will be arranged in three apartment blocks and 16 townhouses.
Access to the site will be through a reconfigured entrance shared with the ESB facility, while an existing entrance will be converted for pedestrian and cycle use only.
A decision on the application is due mid June.
