An elderly man has been taken to hospital following an incident on Main Street in Midleton.
He was struck by a vehicle just after 8 o'clock this morning.
Emergency services, including gardai and the ambulance, responded and the person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Traffic in the area was backed up for time but it is now cleared.
The road was not closed as a result.
