A passing out parade of 27 newly qualified recruits will take place at Haulbowline Naval Base this afternoon.
Class CIARA successfully completed 23 weeks of intensive training as part of their preparations to become ordinary ratings in the service.
Further specialised training will be undertaken prior to being posted to the fleet and the training will include seamanship,gunnery,logistics,communications and engineering..
Recruit Class CIARA has 9 female members and 2 of the recruits are from Lithuania.
It is the first in-person passing out parade to be held at Haulbowline since the easing of the Covid restrictions and gets underway at 1 o'clock this afternoon.
