One Irish person is reported to be among passengers on board a hijacked Egypt Air Flight that's landed in Cyprus. Negotiations with the Hijacker have resulted in the release of almost all the passengers, except the crew and four foreigners. The aircraft had been on a domestic flight to Cairo before it diverted and made an emergency landing in Larnaca. The Department of Foreign Affairs says it can't confirm if there is any Irish citizen on board the plane but it is aware of the situation and monitoring it closely.
