An expansion of the Coke Zero bike scheme to the north side of Cork city has been halted.
A few months ago the National Transport Authority said it would happen but the location has now been scrapped.
However, a number of new locations have been earmarked for the scheme including County Hall, Mardyke Walk, Gaol Walk,Brookfield, Dennehy’s Cross, Cork University Hospital and CIT
Councillor John Maher called on the NTA to provide funding to allow cycling infrastructure to become a reality on the northside:
