Gardai are set to launch a new divisional protective services unit in the Cork North Garda Division.
Units operate with specially trained officers who investigate sensitive and distrurbing incidents of crime.
These include sexual assaults , human trafficking , child abuse and domestic violence.
PSU`s were introduced in four garda divisions in 2017.
Todays launch in the Cork North Garda Division took place in Fermoy.
