Douglas-based councillor Deirdre Forde was elected at the Annual General Meeting of Cork City Council last Friday night.
Speaking about her upcoming time in office to Cork's 96FM & C103 today, Councillor Forde said she wants Cork City to be the best it can be during her time in office.
The New Lord Mayor says there are lots of things happening behind the scenes to make that dream a reality.
