Cork County Council’s Fire Service has taken delivery of two new Class B Fire Appliances.
They are located in Midleton and Bantry Fire Stations.
The new frontline appliances have been funded by the National Directorate for Fire and Emergency Management.
Brigades in Bantry and Midleton and across the country have been responding to incidents arising from the recent storms.
The County Mayor , Councillor Mary Linehan Foley says, the fire service is invaluable with crews at the frontline daily and the additional equipment will facilitate their work and increase safety and efficiency.
