The Cabinet Committee on Covid-19 approved the plan today.
Its main aims are; minimising the risk of people becoming unwell, minimising the health, wellbeing and social impact for people who may be at greater risk and to reduce the economic and social disruption associated with the outbreak.
The HSE is implementing a wide range of measures to face the enormous challenges that Covid-19 will pose in the near future.
The plan will continue to evolve as the situation evolves.
