Sinn Fein TD Thomas Gould says he is being contacted by constituents on a weekly basis who are being intimidated by gangs.
At Monday's Joint Policing Committee meeting in Cork Chief Superintendent in the Cork City Division Tom Myers acknowledged the concerns expressed by members that more Gardai are needed on the streets of Cork.
Deputy Gould told us this morning that he asked Superintendent Myers at the meeting about the Drug Related Intimidation and Violence Engagement Programme.
