Works are ongoing
Uisce Eireann says i'ts working to restore a water treatment plant in County Cork which has been shutdown due to Storm Bert.
The Mogeely Water Treatment Plant, which supplies drinking water to surrounding communities, has been affected by poor raw water quality because of storm flooding.
Alternative water supplies will be in place at 8pm this evening, however customers in the Mogeely, Castlemartyr and Ladysbridge areas are being reminded to boil water before consumption as a precaution.
