The public are being invited to have their say on a food policy for Cork
Cork Food Policy have launched a public consultation as they create a sustainable and healthy food policy for Cork.
The aim is to build a resilient and local food system that is inclusive for all.
Their final plan will outline what Cork can do to support a fairer, healthier, more secure and sustainable food system.
Public consultation is now open online via consult.corkcity.ie and in-person events are also planned.
Janas Harrington, chair of Cork Food Policy Council told Cork's 96FM & C103 News that two in-person consultation gatherings that have already taken place heard concerns about "the constant advertising of unhealthy foods, particularly around schools and the access to unhealthy, processed foods, particularly for children."
