A file is to be sent to the DPP after a man was arrested and questioned about a drugs seizure in West Cork.
Gardai in Bantry were on uniformed patrol in the area at around 1pm yesterday when a man in his 30's was arrested and detained and a quantity of suspected cannabis herb was found on his person.
A number of follow up searches were carried out in the Bantry area and in total cannabis herb with an estimated street value of 220 ,000 euro was uncovered.
A suspect in his 30's was later released without charge and a file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Gardai say their investihgations are ongoing.
