Gardai have cordoned off an area around Annalee Grove.
A man is understood to be in a serious condition following an incident on the northside of the city overnight.
It happened at Annalee Grove in Mayfield and it is reported that a man sustained a number of stab wounds.
Emergency services are at the scene this morning and an area has been sealed off for a Garda investigation.
