
A 41 year old British National charged by Gardai in Cork in connection with a threat to British police that he would kill a female Labour MP last October is “anxious to move things along” in his case.

Daniel Weavers with an address at Castletreasure, Douglas, Cork was charged before a special sitting of Cork District Court on November 7th last year in connection with a threat to British police that he would kill a female Labour MP in October 2021.
He was charged with a single count that on October 18th last year, he sent a message that was menacing by telephone at Castletreasure, Douglas.
At a previous court sitting, Mr Weavers was remanded on bail with a number of conditions including that he would have no unwarranted communication with the British police authorities.
Cork District Court heard today that a file was sent to the DPP on January 17th last.
Judge Olann Kelleher adjourned the case until April 6th for DPP directions.
