
A man in his 50s has been charged in connection with a robbery at a shop in Mallow last evening .
A raider armed with what's believed to have been a knife entered a shop in Ballydaheen at around 6-30pm.
He threatened staff and left with a sum of cash.
A man was arrested a short time later following a search and taken to Mallow Garda Station for questioning.
He has since been charged and will appear before Cork District Court this morning.
The knife believed to have been used in the robbery was also recovered.
