Garda investigations are continuing.
A man has been arrested after Gardaí were alerted to an armed robbery in Broadale , Douglas last evening.
A suspect entered a commercial premises on Maryborough Hill at around 6-30pm with a suspected firearm.
A quantity of cash was stolen and the male left the scene.
No injuries were reported.
A man in his 40s was arrested a short time later at a nearby location and is currently detained at a Garda Station in Cork city.
Investigations are ongoing.
