A planning application has been submitted by the retailer for a new state of the art store as part of a wider development.
If approved , the new store will expand the retailers County Cork portfolio to 21 stores.
The proposed new Lidl retail outlet will create 30 jobs while a cafe on site will create 10 new positions.
