It's been revealed that Cork City Council has not issued a single fine for dog fouling since 2017.
Information obtained by the Echo has revealed that just 4 fines in total have been issued since the dog fouling act was introduced here in 1997.
Wardens patrol the city from 9am until 5pm and City Council says the majority of dog fouling happens early in the morning
or late in the evening.
Council says it is also extremely difficult to impose the fines as the act must be witnessed from start to finish.
