The Justice Minister has refused to outline a start date for the construction of a new Garda Station for Macroom.
The town has been designated as the new headquarters of the merged Cork County Division.
However, the HQ will be temporarily located in Bandon until a new station is built in Macroom.
Speaking to Cork's 96FM and C103 News, local TD Aindrias Moynihan says the station needs to be progressed as soon as possible
