The utility company is being called on to be more accountable for its actions.

Cork County Council heard a motion that the utility company should come before members at divisonal meetings to answer questions on behalf of the public.

Councillor Deirdre O`Brien claimed Irish Water was not engaging properly.

It held just two clinics with elected members this year which Councillor O`Brien said is not near enough in terms of accountability:
