Security will be in place on trains across the weekend to ensure that only people who need to travel are doing so.
Irish Rail is operating a reduced timetable throughout the Easter long weekend in a bid to facilitate engineering works .
The company already announced reduced services due to the spread of Covid-19 with even less trains runnning over the next couple of days.
Irish Rail is advising people to check online before travelling.
