Dublin is the only one of the 8 above the EU average with 92% of people having a hospital 15 minutes away
The Midlands and Midlands East such as Kildare & Wicklow is at 54%
The West are areas such as Galway and Mayo stands at 36% as does Waterford and Wexford.
Figures show the worst area is the border area such as Donegal with just 31% of people being within 15 minutes
Limerick falls into the mid west area and just under half of people (46%) can make it within the targetted time
Cork & Kerry are in the same region on the data and the figures show just 47% of people can drive to a hospital in under 15 minutes
