INMO is warning of long delays in emergency departments in hospitals

665 patients are waiting for beds today.

The HSE is being called on to advise the public of long delays in emergency departments across all hospital sites.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says there are 665 admitted patients waiting for a bed.

Cork University Hospital is the second most overcrowded in the country with 63 patients on trolleys.

There are 8 patients waiting for a bed at the Mercy Hospital in Cork.

A majority of patients are waiting in ED's with others in wards elsewhere in the hospitals.
