A Cork food bank is reporting an increase in weekly users with a particular spike at this time of the year.
Feed Cork says back to school costs are pushing parents who are already struggling to make ends meet , over the edge.
The Department of Social Protection has provided them with 2,000 back to school packs , up from 600 last year.
The packs will be given out to people this Saturday from 10am.
