Following a comprehensive process it was decided to proceed with the redevelopment which will retain all existing services.
Plans have been announced to redevelop the Munster Regional Blood Transfusion Centre on the grounds of St. Finbarr's Hospital in Cork.
A development brief will now be prepared and the blood transfusion service will work in conjunction with the HSE at the hospital to progress the plans.
