A unit of the Cork County Fire Service was called to a gorse fire near Inchageela last evening.
The alarm was raised shortly after 7 o`cock and the fire service in Dunmanway brought the incident under control.
On their way back to base the fire crew responded to a road traffic collision near Dunmanway.
Fire brigade personnel were back at base just before midnight.
