It comes after Fermoy Roads Policing Unit came across a car stopped on the hard shoulder of the M8 Motorway today and upon further investigation they discovered the driver had pulled in to make a conference call.
Gardai say that the hard shoulder is not a place to stop for phone calls.
The driver was issued with a €40 fixed charge notice.
