
Gardai investigating the murder of Frankie Dunne in Cork city last month have interviewed a 29 year old man in Romania about the killing.
Four Cork based detectives accompanied by a Romanian member of An Garda Siochana flew to Bucharest earlier this month,
Mr Dunne`s dismembered body was found in the grounds of a disused house on the Boreenmanna Road on December 28th.
The focus of the garda inquiry switched to an Eastern European man who had left the country at the end of last month.
Romanian police were contacted and they requested that the man voluntarily attend for an interview with investigating gardai.
Officers here expect a statement from their Romanian colleagues in the coming weeks after whcih a file is likely to be prepared for the DPP
It may lead to a European Arrest Warrant being issued if there is sufficient evidence to press charges.
