The incident happened at the Savoy on Patrick's Street last evening.
Gardaí arrived at the scene nearthe Savoy on Patrick's Street at approximately 8pm and found a woman who was lying on the ground unresponsive.
She was taken to Cork University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone present on St. Patrick's Street near the Savoy between 7pm and 8pm, and who may have information regarding this incident to make contact.
Those with mobile phone or dash cam footage are asked to also make this available.
