Funding allocated for the creation of 'Seamus the Salmon'

Funding has been announced for a conservation initiative in Cork.

The recipients of €1 million in funding from Inland Fisheries Ireland were announced during the week.

In Cork, it will go towards the creation of 'Seamus the Salmon' installation which will be made from stainless steel and filled with plastic gathered from beach clean-ups.

Seamus will be housed at Custom House Quay in Cork and will travel along the South-West of the country for promotional purposes.
